Jehad Abusalim, Executive Director of the Jerusalem Fund
6-7 pm CT
Hundreds of thousands of Gazan civilians are fleeing to southern Gaza, which continues to be attacked. Hospitals and schools have been bombed, and hundreds of health care workers have been killed. Thousands of displaced Palestinians are living in tents in squalid areas, with little food or water, increasing disease with little to no medical care.
Jehad Abusalim will talk about the situation on the ground including the complexities of helping his own displaced family in Gaza. He will also talk about how this is 1948 all over again, but on a much larger and more brutal scale, and a direct result of 75 years of zero accountability and complete immunity for Israel enabled by the normalizing anti-Palestinian hate and racism.
Sponsored by Massachusetts Peace Action (MAPA).
