American Jews and allies have blocked all entrances to the White House. Police have started making arrests. We are throwing ourselves onto the cogs of the war machine.

But we didn’t come here to get arrested, we came here to demand a ceasefire. To declare, through our grief over Israeli and Palestinian loved ones, that we will not let those in power weaponize our pain to justify a genocide.

And it’s working. Members of the Congressional Progressive Caucus have released a resolution calling for ceasefire and aid to Gaza. This isn’t the time to back down. It’s time to up the pressure and demand a ceasefire. It’s time to save lives.
