War Abolition Walk at Willy Street Fair and Beyond

From World Beyond War-Madison:

Join us on the International Day of Peace and during the BDS Global Weekend of Action, to say Stop Arming Israel and the rest of the world. This will be our third year marching as a World BEYOND War contingent in the Willy Street Parade. We’ll have signs and banners, or you can bring your own.

The Willy Street Parade begins at 11 a.m. on Sunday, 9/21!

The Parade route starts in front of the I/O Arcade Bar on the 900 Block of Willy Street.

The parade heads down Willy to Paterson Street, takes a left up Paterson Street, another left on Spaight Street, goes east on Spaight Street for two blocks, takes a left down Ingersoll Street, and then a left back onto Willy where it goes up the last 1.5 blocks back to the I/O Arcade Bar!

We will also do a longer War Abolition Walk that day around Lake Monona. We’ll invite the media. You can join us at any of the stages and walk for any distance.

12:00 noon – Depart from Madison Sourdough, 900 block of Willy St
12:15 – Arrive at Machinery Row Bicycles
1:00 – 1:15 – Arrive at Olin Park
2:00 – 2:15 – Arrive at Maywood Park
3:15 – 3:30 – Arrive at Olbrich Beer Garden
4:30 – 4:45 – End at Madison Sourdough
