No Kings Activists,

On Saturday, federal agents shot and killed 37-year-old Alex Pretti, an ICU nurse who cared for veterans, after brutally assaulting him in front of multiple witnesses in Minneapolis.

This terrible act of violence is just the latest in a series of escalations from ICE and CBP. While these events are staggering and tragic, it is no longer shocking.

Alex Pretti and Renee Good were killed seeking to protect their communities by bearing witness to CBP and ICE operations.

These agencies do not have a mandate to operate in secrecy – and we have the right to record and document their operations in our streets. What’s happening in the Twin Cities makes it more important than ever that we all know our rights when documenting and recording law enforcement encounters.

Join our training tomorrow, Monday, January 26 at 8pm ET, to get the latest updates on ICE and CBP’s out-of-control and dangerous operations, how to effectively record and document law enforcement encounters, and how we keep taking action together.

RSVP

If you’re asking yourself, “What can I do?” this is one concrete step you can take right now. RSVP, share with a friend, and show up alongside thousands of other No Kings Activists.

See you Monday night,
The No Kings Team
