The Trump administration has now stationed thousands of US troops and numerous military ships off the shores of Venezuela and near Cuba and Colombia. These three nations have charted an independent economic, political and social course in defiance of US blockades, sanctions and threats of regime change. And not coincidentally, all are strong supporters of Palestine. Having already killed at least 57 people in illegal strikes on boats in international waters, Trump is taking us back to the dark days of the Monroe Doctrine that asserted a right to completely control all the resources of the region.
WI Bail Out the People, World Beyond War and others ask you to join this week’s regular vigil against war and genocide in Palestine where we will also amplify the call for US Hands Off the Caribbean, Central and South America, and money for SNAP, healthcare and people’s other needs, not endless wars!
