This Sunday! Join us in the Madison Flotilla!

Volunteers are needed, not only to participate but also to

• Bring kayaks, canoes, or paddle boards
• Bring sliced watermelon ready to share
• Bring banners and signs to decorate the boats
• Lead songs and chants!

We’ll meet at 3 PM to decorate canoes, kayaks, SUPs, and more. The flotilla will launch at 4 PM, where we’ll sing, chant, enjoy watermelon, and paddle together for 1-2 hours.

If you don’t have a boat, please come anyway! We’d love your help with decorations, and there will likely be plenty of opportunities to join other boaters as a passenger or paddler.

• Want to travel? Join the Global Sumud Flotilla at sea and share your expertise as captain, crew, or logistics, safety, or first aid support.
• The flotilla needs help from people who have skills in social media, video editing, writing, designing, translating, wellness, and spiritual support.
• The deadline to register for this is August 16th!

The Global Sumud Flotilla is a project to break the Israeli occupation’s illegal siege of Gaza. Sumud is resilience in Arabic.

Participants from the Maghreb Sumud Flotilla, the Freedom Flotilla Coalition, Global Movement to Gaza, and the Sumud Nusantara have united to break the siege by sea, open a humanitarian corridor, and end the ongoing genocide of the Palestinian people.

Dozens of boats will be launching for Gaza from Spain on August 31 and Tunisia on September 4 in the largest civilian flotilla in history.
