Capitol Square at King St, Madison, 8:30-11:00 am
Mennonite Action Madison invites all to join in a vigil bearing witness to the plight of the people of Gaza and Palestine. 200+ pairs of shoes — many of them children’s shoes — will be laid out on the walkway to the Capitol from the square, calling the attention of farmer’s market shoppers to the more than 75,000 Gazans killed by Israel in the past 3 years.
Besides the shoe exhibit, they will have signs supporting the Palestinian people and actively engage with passers-by.
Come early to help with set up, participate in the vigil, and stay to help with clean up if you can.
