Ayman Ghrayeb is a promiment Palestinian community organizer and activist in the Jordan Valley. He was arrested on November 17 after settlers confronted him in his work and he’s been held in administrative detention since, with no ability to challenge the allegations against him and no due process.
Thankfully, Amnesty International has just classified Ayman as a “Prisoner of Conscience,” which is important because now is the time to put pressure before his administrative order is renewed in a couple of months.
Among many other things, Ayman was insturmental — and visionary — in bringing internationals to the Jordan Valley. At great personal cost.
