Earlier this week, two organizations – Canadian Zionist Cultural Association and Canada Charity Partners – had their charitable tax statuses revoked by the Canada Revenue Agency. These are important developments in the fight to stop the flow of tax-subsidized dollars from Canada toward financing Israel’s occupation and war crimes.

But there are still Canadian registered charities fuelling Israel’s genocide and apartheid.

Last year, Independent Jewish Voices, Just Peace Advocates, and Miles Howe, PhD, released a report documenting Canada Charity Partner’s support of Israeli war crimes, along with four other organizations.

• Mizrachi Organization of Canada: a major financial conduit for far-right Religious Zionist movements supporting settler violence and military assistance.
• Jewish Heritage Foundation of Canada: a ‘burner charity’ funding Israeli settler groups.
• Ronnen Harary Foundation: has provided millions to the Jerusalem Municipality, an instrument of land expropriation.
• Heseg Foundation: incentivizes military enlistment in Israel with scholarships for ‘Lone Soldiers’.

These organizations are still registered Canadian charities, and there are many more like them.

Pressure works – take action today!

The recent revocations are in part due to the ongoing pressure from Canadians across the country who don’t want their tax dollars going to a foreign military committing genocide and upholding apartheid rule. Use your voices today and tell the CRA to revoke charitable status for these critical targets, conduct a wide-scale audit to ensure no other charities are committing similar abuses of tax status, and take action to make sure no future organizations can get tax breaks for war crimes.
