UW-Madison, location, 3 pm

Brenna Cussen Anglada will be in Madison to share about her recent volunteer work doing unarmed civilian accompaniment in the West Bank of Palestine.

Brenna is a Catholic Worker and farmer who lives in southwest Wisconsin. She traveled to Israel-Palestine in September and October 2025 to work with the International Solidarity Movement, which is responding to the direct request of Palestinians for internationals to provide an unarmed protective presence in locations throughout the West Bank.

Her team participated in the Olive Harvest campaign, where Palestinians experienced the most violent repression to date in that region, with hundreds of brutal attacks by illegal settlers and the Israeli army. Then in Al Khalil (Hebron), they monitored checkpoints and provided protective presence in a heavily militarized area.

Members of her team did home stays in Masafer Yatta (where the Academy Award-winning documentary No Other Land was filmed), doing night watch and sleeping in tents, homes, and caves with families under constant threat of forced removal.

She’s presenting to students in the afternoon on UW-Madison campus. That talk is sponsored by three UW student orgs – World BEYOND War, Amnesty International, and Students for Justice in Palestine.

Brenna will also speak downtown in the evening as part of a panel discussion hosted by Jewish Voice for Peace.
