Hello everyone,

A resolution calling for a ceasefire, arms embargo, and end to military aid to Israel has been introduced to the Democratic National Committee (DNC) Resolutions Committee. It will be acted on or buried as early as today, Tuesday August 26.

Resolution 18 reflects what polls now show is the overwhelming majority opinion of the Democratic base. And increasingly, the opinion of the US people in general.

But the old guard (and just plain old!) party leadership is determined to prevent this resolution from even being introduced. (See “Will the DNC End Their Complicity in Genocide, or Just Double Down?” by Norman Solomon writing yesterday in Common Dreams.) 

Regardless of your party affiliation, please take a stand against the Gaza genocide and for Palestinian rights by joining over 158,000 people and taking this one-click action to email all 55 DNC Resolution Committee Members.

PS – Today Israel slaughtered dozens more in Gaza, including another 5 journalists, and a group of emergency workers who were captured on video being hit in a second strike while trying to reach victims of the first at Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis.
