Tomorrow Congress will be voting on House Resolution 867. Your immediate action is needed to protect our voice and freedoms. The implications of H.R. 867 are disastrous – the bill would seek to punish those who boycott and criticize Israel with up to 20 years in prison and $1 million in fines. We must stand firm against any attempt to strip away our individual freedoms and to silence Americans. This is an assault on our individual freedoms and American sovereignty. 

Let that sink in: Congress is trying to silence our right to free speech to protect apartheid.

H.R. 867 expands the power of Washington, handing bureaucrats the authority to punish students, activists, and nonprofits for exercising protected speech. It trades your right to speak up for what’s right in favor of foreign interests. An act merely to curry favor with foreign leaders. In an attempt to instill fear in anyone who dares speak out against Israel, this legislation will also create a “Blacklist” — requiring an annual roll call of nations and organizations critical of Israel. 

If this bill becomes law, you could be treated like a criminal for exercising the very individual freedoms afforded to you in this country.
