2026.10.25: Growing Challenges to Global Public Health

Holy Wisdom Monastery, 4200 Hwy M, Middleton, Global Marketplace 11:30 am, Program 12 Noon – 3 pm

The theme of this year’s UN Day luncheon is Rebuilding Global Health Resilience, with keynote speakers Karen Solheim and Katie Schneider-Collins, nurses from the UW Madison School of Nursing with strong academic expertise as well as lengthy “on the ground” experience dealing with global health.

The event will also pay tribute to two former past presidents of UNA Dane County, former nurse educators and practitioners Linda Baumann and Barb Nichols, who both passed in the last year.

Attendees will be able to purchase treasures from the International Marketplace, the proceeds of which will go to a newly established scholarship fund in Linda and Barbara’s honor.

Finally, attendees will enjoy a delicious Indian meal which will also include vegan and vegetarian options.
