Registration is Open for Madison’s 2026 Big Ride for Palestine: a fundraiser for Middle East Children’s Alliance on July 19.

Madison area cyclists of all ages and abilities are invited to participate in the 2026 Middle East Children’s Alliance Big Ride for Palestine, presented by Madison-Rafah Sister City Project.  
  
Madison riders can visit Madison’s team page to register to ride with the Madison-Rafah Team on MECA’s ride website.  The ride will include both short and longer options, so riders of all ages and energy levels are welcome at this ride.
  
Have a conflict with the date?  You don’t have to ride on the 19th to participate as part of the Madison team!  As much as we hope to have you with us on July 19th, we understand that summer is a busy time so if you’d prefer to ride on your own or with friends at another time that’s more convenient for you that’s fine!  Go ahead and register, then just reach out to us about picking up your t-shirt.

Want to volunteer to make the ride great this year? We Need You!!   We are so grateful to everyone who helped make the ride successful, fun and safe last year.  If you’d like to help out with  planning, publicizing, networking with bikers, handing out snacks, water and bike decorations, and cheering on and welcoming our riders, we would be extremely grateful for your help and energy!!  Contact Cassandra at madisontogaza@gmail.com,  or 608-445-0357.

MECA works to protect the lives, rights, and well-being of children in Palestine and Lebanon. After over 76 years of ethnic cleansing, displacement, and attacks on their lives and livelihoods, Palestinians remain steadfast on their land and fiercely committed to the cause of freedom and liberation. Riding is an act of solidarity with Palestinian communities as they struggle to protect their children’s lives and their culture from erasure.  As Israel’s blockade and  genocidal assault on Gaza and Lebanon continues, our support is needed more urgently than ever.
