In Madison, we will begin the march at 1:00 pm, at the City County-Building at 210 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.
The march will begin following the 12:00 noon trial of Cassandra Dixon, Bonnie Block, and Joy First charged for speaking out against the terror and suffering of war.
Please wear black – 20 white masks and several black shawls will be available. Signs recognizing the suffering of war are welcome.
This will be a solemn march around the Capitol to Senator Herb Kohl’s office and then around to Rep. Tammy Baldwin’s office where we will deliver letters signed by participants. For those who are able, we will carpool to Senator Feingold’s office.
This action is being organized by Madison Pledge of Resistance and the Madison-Rafah Sister City Project. It is being done in solidarity with activists in Washington, DC and around the country, calling on our members of Congress to stop the horrors of war.
