February 24: The Worst of All: Gaza Strip and Rafah

The Gaza Strip, and our sister city Rafah on the border with Egypt, have suffered almost unimaginably and in every way, with the Palestinian struggle for survival there largely ignored by the Western media.

Overture Center’s FREE International Festival and headliner Ballet Folklorico Mexico make Saturday, February 16th a day to Celebrate and Enjoy!

A celebration of the cultures represented in Madison, the International Festival is a day of music, dance and storytelling throughout Overture Center. In addition there will be a craft bazaar featuring artisans selling clothing, crafts and jewelry from around the world and a food court where you will be able to purchase a wide array of food from Italy to Jamaica.

Don’t miss the fun on Saturday, February 16 from 11 am to 5 pm at Overture Center for the Arts, 201 State Street.

February 10: The Wall — Final Borders of Apartheid?

These three shorter films will analyze the wall, chronicle its construction at an important point in East Jerusalem, and provide visual testimony on the impact of the checkpoints on Palestinian life.
